Job Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The CYC Leadership Program educates and trains high school students
in San Francisco to address racial violence, gender-based violence,
violence against queer and trans communities, and build multiracial
solidarity. Through the program, students develop their leadership,
facilitation, and intervention skills, while deepening their
knowledge of community history and resilience.
The Program Coordinator will work on a team of 3 staff to create
and facilitate interactive trainings to three school-based cohorts
of youth (ages 14-18), support program participants in developing
their sense of community and social justice lenses, and offer
outreach and education to the wider community. The Program
Coordinator will be an advocate and community liaison to raise
public awareness of racial, socio-economic, gender, trans/queer,
and disability justice.
The Program Coordinator for the Racial Justice Cohort will work
with a multiracial group of students to build their sense of
community and address topics like racial solidarity,
intersectionality, representation, legal justice, resilience, joy,
and more.
