to: Senior Director of AdvancementPosition Description:The Manager
of Alumni Relations is responsible for building and maintaining
relationships with alumni and other constituencies and implementing
fundraising initiatives to increase alumni participation and
philanthropic support for LWHS. The Manager of Alumni Relations
will identify class goals, implement multi-year reunion class
giving programs, manage regional alumni chapters, create marketing
plans, analyze engagement data, and manage a portfolio of alumni
constituents. This position is required to proactively collaborate
and foster relationships with a myriad of constituencies across the
LWHS community. Additionally, they will work closely and
collaborate with the Advancement Team on all Advancement goals and
priorities.Primary ResponsibilitiesAlumni Engagement
- In coordination with the Advancement department, plan,
strategize, and organize alumni engagement and giving programs
- Create and execute all digital annual giving appeals using
multimedia platforms
- Solicit alumni and parents of alumni for the Annual Fund;
provide resources for peer solicitations, track donor and prospect
status, and communicate effectively with volunteers
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to assist with alumni
giving programs (e.g., reunion giving)
- Serve as a partner to the Alumni Board President, members, and
Class Representatives (local and national); coordinate, attend, and
take notes at meetings
- Utilize various communication channels to keep alumni engaged
with LWHS, promote fundraising initiatives, and engage alumni
- Direct the build-out of the alumni website to engage alumni,
celebrate accomplishments, and maintain a virtual space for
interaction
- Write and produce all quarterly alumni e-newsletters; develop
periodic social media strategies to support fundraising and alumni
engagement
- Work closely with the Executive Director of Advancement and the
Director of Communications to develop content for the Annual
Report, Alumni magazine and other LWHS publicationsAlumni Research
and Data Analysis
- Work closely with the Database Manager to ensure accurate
alumni and PAL records in Raiser's Edge and other alumni databases;
manage the alumni gift acknowledgment process for personal, timely,
and appropriate recognition
- Pull, track, and analyze data/results into reports for the
Executive Director of Advancement and Head of School, and other
volunteers; continuously track and analyze data to measure progress
and inform strategy
- Use wealth screening data, giving history, and other
information to inform appeal segmentation and customized
solicitation amounts for constituents
- Conduct prospect discovery, stewardship, identify major gift
potential, and solicit individual donations
- Use outside sources (e.g., LinkedIn) to gather data and support
engagement and annual giving effortsStewardship/Events
- Plan and execute alumni events of all sizes from small
gatherings off campus to large-scale events
- Attend all Advancement events; help ensure successful execution
of events and engagement activities
- Collaborate with members of the Advancement Team on stewardship
activities such as events, acknowledgments, and donor
recognitionDepartment
- Support and staff other events and activities as needed
- Strengthen the operations of the Advancement Department
- Perform other duties consistent with the above responsibilities
and in conjunction with the overall goals of the Advancement
Office; no task is too big or too small

- A bachelor's degree and at least 5-7 years similar
experience
- Computer skills sufficient to fulfill job responsibilities;
experience with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge software, Google Drive,
and various social media platforms preferred
